Greg Rike Productions has been in business since 1974 when founder Greg Rike was contracted to write and produce a jingle for "4 Seasons Condominiums". The studio was called Morning Sun Recording at that time and was in the sleepy college town of DeLand Florida, home of Stetson University. A steady flow of projects coming to Morning Sun from as far away as Melbourne, Miami and Jacksonville put the small studio on the map so when MTV kicked off their Daytona spring break, Greg and staff were forefront in helping produce the major music acts of the day. Among them were Atlanta Rhythm Section, Steppenwolf, Firefall and Missing Persons as well as numerous comedy acts including Larry "Bud" Melman from David Letterman show and Jerry Seinfeld. Following on MTV's heels was the Miss Teen Pageant held in Daytona where all the musical acts came to Morning Sun for all preproduction and recording including The Commodores, Frankie Avalon, Fabien, Bobby Rydell and Mark Vollman from Frank Zappa's Mother's of Invention and the Turtles. In 1988 after working with part of the Lynard Skynard group (post plane crash) and Waylon Jennings, the studio moved to the bigger market of the Orlando Area and changed the name officially to Greg Rike Productions, Inc. After the move GRP (as it has come to be called) continued it's successes mixing the first Backstreet Boys hit "fghjghjk" and moving on to work with numerous artists like Deep Purple, Foghat, 7Mary3, DJ Magic Mike, Patti Labelle, Yellow Jackets, Molly Hatchet, Brittany Spears, Mandy Moore, Little River Band, Little Cory and Lionel Richie. In 1998 GRP remodeled and moved into the facility they are presently occupying
